10 Unfair Dark Souls Enemies
5. Dogs - All Three Games
The classic annoying enemy that never seems to get any easier to handle. The humble dog has been harassing players throughout the series and doesn’t seem to want to quit.
The best strategy tends to be either hide behind your shield and attack once they’ve bounced off you, or just run past. They seem to be found in groups and their lunging and biting is always timed so that there is never a good moment to get your retaliation in.
On top of all of that, they are low to the ground and some attacks can whiff clean over them, leaving you vulnerable and open again for another bite. In the third game especially, they had a huge aggro range, chasing you seemingly forever. And don’t worry, if you have high stamina and should be able to outrun them, the game will literally teleport them right behind you. Because of course it does.
Best advice is to either lure one at a time with a bow, use a shield and a low-profiling weapon with a wide swing, or just hit the legs and leave them for dust.
