10 Unintentionally Creepy Video Game Characters

4. Amigo - Samba de Amigo

Samba de Amigo is one of the most entertaining and enduring "gimmick" games going, making great use of actual maracas for a unique gaming experience like no other on the Dreamcast. However, all that fun is underscored by the creepy titular protagonist, Amigo, a sombrero-clad, maraca-shaking monkey who wears the same demented smile as above throughout the entire game, suggesting he's just hoofed someone's entire Cocaine supply and is now, erm, enjoying the remnants. Why else would a monkey even try to play the maracas? That's not even the end of it, though; the world that Sonic Team has developed only pulls us further into this nightmarish fever dream, with various creatures and objects moving all over the place, staring as deep into the viewer's soul as Amigo does. If I had to peg any game as accurately representing the experience of coming up off of an extremely psychotropic substance, I would definitely assume it to be Samba de Amigo with its creepy-ass monkey. I can only imagine how many accidents have been caused by this game's weirdness, and the idea that playing it while inebriated/otherwise intoxicated is a good idea.
