10 Unintentionally Hilarious 90s Horror Video Games

3. Harvester (1996)

1996's otherworldly PC exclusive point-and-click horror title Harvester is perhaps the only video game on this list which might still manage to unnerve the average player, though the game's heavy use of FMV material would likely significantly hamper that probability. Filled to the brim with cannibalistic children, ruckus inhumanity, and alarmingly chipper 1950's mothers, Harvester is almost too bizarre to accurately explain.

That said, much in the vain of the Phantasmagoria games, Harvester is about as over-the-top as it could possibly be. Most gamers casually aware of the property will probably think of the segment in which a bisected cop shoots the protagonist in the head with a machine gun, but that is only the very tip of the Harvester iceberg. It only gets weirder from there, and its almost hilarious.

Much like other horror titles unafraid to cross the threshold into unabashed unreality, laughter is sometimes the only appropriate reaction to the game's eldritch on-goings. In fact, this title has likely never been matched in terms of sheer madness, and it probably never will. From the uncanny overtones to the eyebrow raising town citizens, Harvester can be downright hilarious. You always were a kidder, Steve.
