10 Upcoming 2019 Video Games We're Incredibly Worried About

Release Date: April 26

Though Sony just recently delayed their upcoming open-world zombie survival game to April - from the ridiculously crowded February field - one suspects there might be more to it than a mere commercial calculation.

After all, the gameplay footage we've seen of Days Gone so far doesn't really suggest it's anything more than a passable, fairly drab-looking zombie game we've played dozens of times before.

Sure, the sheer volume of the undead that can fill the screen at once is relatively impressive, but what does it mean without sufficiently satisfying gameplay, plot and characters otherwise?

The playable demo from this year's E3 was met with underwhelming notices from the press, claiming it was technically roughshod and, well, a bit too generic for its own good.

While that formulaic approach might actually be effective in selling the game to the zombie-loving masses, for anyone craving anything more nuanced, it's hard to have faith in SIE Bend Studio, who haven't developed a full-fat AAA console game since 2004.
