The Disgaea series is a franchise like nothing else, as it's hard to find a game that has as much self-aware fun. While the gameplay is brutal to crack for newcomers, the over-the-top irreverence of the style, humour and characters is a primary reason why it's worth grabbing.

This sixth instalment of the series looks set to deliver something that both updates and stays true to what has come before. You'll take control of Zed, a zombie who will spend the game attempting to take down a God of Destruction. As expected with Disgaea, it'll be filled to the brim with ridiculous party members and a whole host of challenges.

Disgaea 6 will also be the first in the franchise to use 3D models, which is an exciting change for the tactical-role playing game. It all looks set to be another wacky adventure, and the earlier release in Japan has thus far been going well.
