7. Senua's Saga: Hellblade II
Did you see the latest gameplay reveal for Senua's Saga, the follow-up to the excellent Hellblade? It was mind-blowingly good!
The original game is absolutely no slacker in the looks department - in fact, it's one of the best of last gen - but for this new one, developers Ninja Theory have clearly been taking serious advantage of that cash injection they'll have received by becoming a first-party Microsoft studio.
The new game is on another level. The facial work in particular is almost photorealistic and the world itself is positively dripping with detail. Even the rocks look good. The whole thing is going to be running on Unreal Engine 5, and by the time it comes out, it might be the first game to take advantage of this exciting new technology.
As with the previous entry, Hellblade II will be dealing with Senua's mental health struggles as she also physically battles through a harsh world. The first game handled mental health in a brilliant way, and we're sure the second will continue more of the same.
Sad news if you played the first one on PlayStation though; with Ninja Theory now being Microsoft's own first party studio, this one will be Xbox and PC exclusive.
