10 Upcoming Video Game Sequels Nobody Asked For

8. Sniper: Ghost Warrior 3

It's simply astounding that Sniper: Ghost Warrior is even a franchise to begin with. The 2010 original was lambasted by critics for its ridiculous AI and abundance of glitches, and 2013's follow-up didn't really fare much better.

And yet, the games have apparently sold well enough (perhaps due to people confusing them with the Sniper Elite series) that a third is due for release mid-July, taking the now-popular open-world route for good measure. But, one has to ask, why?

Could It Be Any Good?: In fairness, what's been shown off so far surprisingly doesn't look too bad. This is the first entry into the series to have a AAA production quality, and developers CI Games have promised a less-linear title that promotes free-movement rather than merely following a straight line.

The smart money is on it being at least marginally better than the two prior titles, even if it's still likely to have a litany of issues, especially as it pertains to AI.
