10 Upcoming Video Games Bioshock Fans Will LOVE

8. Reborn

Despite the slightly wonky writing present on the Steam store page, Reborn looks to be an incredibly competent and downright horrific FPS. Billed as a return to form for the survival horror genre, Reborn proudly thrusts a shotgun into the players hands and asks them to hunt down a series of frightening occult ghoulies.

Clearly frustrated by the hide-and-seek gameplay of popular horror titles like Outlast and Amnesia: The Dark Descent, developer Knife Entertainment seems keen on delivering some skull-splitting action reminiscent of the Bioshock games.

The survival horror monicker, first popularized by the original Resident Evil title, has been diluted to the point of near-unrecognizability in recent years thanks to a slew of modern games which took the genre far past its original parameters. For those still yearning to manage limited in-game inventories and make every precious expenditure of ammunition count, this may be a game worthy of some attention.

Tons of horror fans believe that readily-accessible weaponry makes a game less scary, yet Bioshock allowed players to become walking one-man armies, and it was still totally unnerving. Such may well be the case with this upcoming release.
