10 Upcoming Video Games Doomed To Disappoint

6. Gran Turismo 6 (Q4 2013)

Gran Turismo 6

After the rather troubled production history and release of Gran Turismo 5, few expected that Polyphony Digital would be so eager to get a sixth game out of the gate, but just 3 years after the last game's release, it looks like GT6 will be upon us.

Perhaps keen to make up for the countless issues that plagued GT5 - long loading times, online matchmaking, only Premium vehicles actually looking any good - it's nevertheless a huge surprise that GT6 will not be launching on the PlayStation 4, but instead sticking with the PS3.

Given how massively successful GT6 could be as a PS4 launch title, it's shocking that they opted for this route, though I suppose the user-base for a PS3 is going to be far larger than the PS4 for the considerable future.

This in itself is disappointing from the outset, and though it's surely going to be a must-buy title, one can't help but feel like Polyphony took the lazy, cynical route rather than pushing themselves for something new and exciting.
