10 Video Game Achievements That RUIN The Game

7. Who Needs Tygan? - XCOM 2

The gameplay of XCOM 2 is a constant fight for time and resources (and 90% hit chances that actually hit the target).

Managing your operation can be stressful but also incredibly rewarding, thanks to the sense of progression you experience whenever your scientists make a breakthrough and invent a new toy for you to play with.

Well, just don't get too attached to them if you're achievement-hunting. The game's most annoying achievement, "Who needs Tygan?" will have you taking them all out of your inventory before the most pivotal moment in the game.

You get the achievement for finishing the final mission in XCOM 2 without any upgraded gear. And while it's certainly an interesting challenge, it also makes for a rather frustrating and disappointing finale.

All the satisfaction of your growth and increase in power that make the final encounter with the alien oppressors feel so important and climactic is sapped away in favor of the underwhelming performance of your soldiers and numerous fits of rage whenever one random mistake costs you the achievement.

Of course, you should try to get the achievement if you're looking for a new challenge, but if it's fun and good times you're after, you really do need Tygan.
