Speaking of Rockstar and their huge, involved, life-sucking titles, Red Dead Redemption 2 is the next stop. This stunning 2018 title is among the largest and most ambitious open-world titles the industry has seen to date, even if it can be a little cumbersome to traverse with the ‘realistic’ fast travel options.
As a result, it’s almost impossible not to find yourself getting constantly side-tracked on your journey through the story. You can barely travel more than five yards in the game without happening on a new NPC to talk to, item to collect, optional quest to dive into, animal to hunt or the like.
