10 Video Game Achievements You Literally Had To Die For

4. Alien: Isolation

Achievement: 100 Times Too Many

Alien scared the s**t out of people when it hit cinemas in 1979, launching a decades long franchise that is still running to this day. Naturally, with so much success on the big screen, it was inevitable that the series would move into the gaming sector.

Of the 20-plus games released over the years, it's Alien: Isolation that stands out as one of the top titles in the long-running series, introducing a new survival horror style of play, moving away from the action-shooter genre that the series had leaned on for decades prior and getting in touch with the tense, thriller feel of the original film.

Although the the Xenomorph has very much become an icon of cinema and an instantly recognisable monster of the big screen, they're a nightmare to deal with in the game, and the creators of Isolation certainly knew that when making the '100 Times Too Many' achievement.

As you could probably guess by the title, you are awarded with the trophy for being killed by the Xenomorph no fewer than a hundred times! And it's a testament to the challenge of the game that you most likely won't need to go out of your way to achieve this, naturally being killed at least 100 times by the alien just across a regular play-through.
