4. Mark - Life Is Strange

Mark Jefferson initially appears to be one of the good guys in Life is Strange, being the stern-but-fair tutor who seemingly wants to help protagonist Max fulfil her potential at university. He was essentially the teacher you always wanted growing up: a caring, cool mentor who understood the plight of teenagers stuck in a rut.

That charming demeanour later gave way to his true nature as a cold, nihilistic killer, however. Though he gained success as a popular photographer, he became obsessed with capturing the "moment innocence turns into corruption" in his subjects, manipulating people to get what he wanted and murdering at least half a dozen victims in the process.

It turns out he was nothing like those cool teachers from school at all, but actually had more in common with the slimy ones who'd find any excuse to send someone straight to detention.
