Of the many villains who make up Batman's gallery of rogues, few have become so recognisable as Harley Quinn. Formerly a psychiatric doctor, she was brainwashed by the Joker after he entered into her care.

The character has recently received a substantial boost in popularity thanks to the efforts of Margot Robbie in the DCEU films, but before this universe was a concept, Harley Quinn showed up in the Batman Arkham series. Voiced by Tara Strong, she became a regular fixture of the franchise's roster.

Beginning with Arkham Asylum, she proves a major thorn in the hero's side, triggering the Joker's takeover of the infamous super-prison. After kidnapping Warden Quincy Sharp and breaking the setting's security, Batman eventually tracks her down at the main penitentiary. Harley is forced to lure the hero through a series of traps and rescue missions before finally being cornered in the control room.

Harley Quinn has never been a match for Batman in physical combat, so the cutscene that follows is very fitting. After taking out her goons, she flips towards the Caped Crusader for one final attack, only to be immediately countered and subdued. With the Joker's right-hand woman sufficiently dealt with, Batman proceeds on to the Asylum's botanical gardens.
