2. Henry Cooldown - No More Heroes

No More Heroes' final boss can actually be beaten in only around 10-or-so minutes, but that's only after likely failing it dozens of times.

Henry possesses the infuriating combination of insane speed, immense attack power and a supernatural knack for countering your attack salvos.

Even if you manage to survive all this, Henry eventually unleashes an insta-kill attack that's extremely difficult to dodge. The awesome death animation (pictured above) sure is neat the first time you see it, but it starts to lose its charm by the twelfth.

If you're demented enough to try battling Henry on Bitter difficulty, then you're in for an especially long night.

Henry can absorb almost 1000 hits before finally succumbing to your blade, while his strong defences make it tough land more than a few cursory hits at once. Combine that with the aforementioned insta-kill and Bitter Henry can waste hours of your life.
