9. Saren - Mass Effect
Many would agree that Saren Arterius is one of Mass Effect's best villains. The main antagonist of the first game is a complex and ruthless character whose fall from grace is both tragic and terrifying. Witnessing his villainy come to fruition is a highlight of the game, and there are two moments where you get the chance to try and take him down.
The first of these happens on Virmire during the "Assault" mission. After infiltrating Saren's base, he shows his face and battles you atop his hoverboard. The fight is very busy as he's got his Geth with him, leading to one hell of a firefight that concludes with him getting away.
However, the second encounter in the game's finale is a little more dramatic.
You encounter Saren for the last time in the Council Chambers. The initial interaction either ends with him shooting himself or you doing it for him. Either way, you'll still need your wits about you, as he's re-animated as a Husk-like creature, leading to a creepy showdown with a zombified Saren. Yikes.
