10 Video Game Characters We Couldn’t Wait To Kill

1. Liquid Ocelot (Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns OF The Patriots)

As a long-time fan of the Metal Gear Solid franchise, this one had been on my mind for the better part of a decade before it happened. Ever since we first met Revolver Ocelot in the opening stages of MGS, and as we grew to realise his status as the series' prime antagonist in MGS2, we've had our sights trained on taking him out, and in the brilliant MGS4: Guns of the Patriots, we finally had that chance. The final battle takes place atop the warship Outer Haven, with the sun setting, and an exhausted Old Snake facing Ocelot in a brutal fistfight. The boss fight itself recalls the previous games, what with the soundtrack from each game playing out during each segment of the fight, until finally, you're able to finally beat Ocelot to death, and he quietly passes on (though you later find out FOXDIE actually killed him, as Old Snake is unknowingly administered with it by Drebin earlier in the game). Despite the later reveal that Ocelot was a far more complex figure than we had expected, and he wasn't a simple villain, it was still a sure joy to bring him to his knees once and for all, for all the terror he'd caused throughout the series. Are there any I missed? Let me know in the comments!
