10 Video Game Characters Everyone Loved (That Just DISAPPEARED)
8. Jill Valentine - Resident Evil
Jill Valentine debuted as one of two playable protagonists in the original Resident Evil. Since she and Chris Redfield have been with Capcom's survival horror saga since Day 1, she's considered one of the central characters.
And yet, her absence is very apparent today. It may not seem that way at first, since the zombie-blasting badass starred in the RE3 Remake, which came out in 2020, however, Jill hasn't headlined a Resident Evil that wasn't a remake since 2009's Resident Evil 5.
Worse still, she only appeared briefly, and wasn't playable. Since then, Jill has only shown up in mobile games and forgettable spin-offs, like The Mercenaries 3D, Revelations, and Operation Racoon City.
Though Resident Evil has successfully reinvented itself in the last few years, Jill has played little part in that resurgence. Chris Redfield has been brought back in, being playable in RE: Village, so how come the series' first heroine can't get more than a passing mention?
If Jill doesn't have a prominent role in Resident Evil 9, it will be a slap in the face for long-time fans.
