10 Video Game Characters Who Deserved Better

A vast Viking saga spanning dozens of hours, Assassin's Creed Valhalla is a massive game. Throughout Norse hero Eivor's journey, they'll meet a large cast of characters as they fight for control of England's kingdoms. Some of them were instantly memorable, others less so.

But there were also a few great characters who were tossed aside before they got their chance to shine. One such inclusion was Petra, Ravensthorpe's resident hunter and potential love interest for Eivor.

When Eivor gets round to building the Hunter's Hut in her budding settlement, she's introduced to Petra and her surrogate brother Wallace. Not long after, Petra invites Eivor to go hunting with her, and the pair soon strike up a strong bond.

The culmination of their relationship comes in a madcap quest in which they chase a white elk through the wilderness in a drug-induced search for Wallace. It's one of the better Ravensthorpe quests that establishes Petra as a fantastic addition to Eivor's journey.

Even after choosing to romance her, Petra has nothing else to contribute to the story. Players can chat and compete in an archery mini game with her at Ravensthorpe, but this was too small a role for a character this good.
