10 Video Game Cheats Found YEARS Later

8. The Special Konami Code - Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness

One cheat code that certainly doesn't need discovering is the Konami Code, the iconic cheat that's been in basically innumerable Konami games over the last 40-ish years.

Except, a slightly modified version of it was just recently found in Castlevania: Legacy of Darkness by Moises and LiquidCat from the Castlevania 64 Discord, some 25 years after the game was first released for the Nintendo 64.

Rather than simply enter the typical version of the code - Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A and Start - you need to instead input each command twice, and do so using the N64 controller's yellow C buttons.

This will instantly unlock each of the game's four playable characters - who can usually only be unlocked by first beating the game - as well as their alternate costumes and also the game's Hard mode for good measure.

And with that, it's probably time for folk to start testing out the double-input version of the Konami code on basically every single Konami game ever made.
