Nobody said games that have already been remade are exempt from this list. You don't make the rules! Besides, the 2004 GameCube remake is eleven years old itself as of 2015. Now that the intricately-plotted Big Boss saga has come full circle with Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, what better time has there been to tie it off neatly by recreating Solid Snake's first 3D outing? God knows, the child of Big Boss himself deserves a little TLC - its now been seven years since he last headlined his own gig in Guns Of The Patriots. Nobody in their right mind would pass up the chance to take another whistle-stop tour of Shadow Moses Island. So memorable is its design and kooky inhabitants that recreating it with Phantom Pain's graphics engine would surely make you expel a tiny little wee in anticipation. It would be like revisiting your childhood home. All of your old FOXHOUND 'friends' are still living in the place you grew up in, and they're as eager as ever to kill you at the behest of Liquid Snake. Okay, that's an awfully haphazard metaphor, but you get the point - Metal Gear Solid has one of the best casts of characters and self-contained worlds of any entry in the series so please, Kojima, try and convince Konami to do it. We'll love you forever. What game would you throw up as genuinely deserving the remake treatment? Let us know in the comments!
