10 Video Game Clones That Kicked Your (Own) Ass

5. Mileena - Mortal Kombat

Should this be clone with a K? probably knowing the Mortal Kombat franchise, which is pretty much a factory when it comes to palette swaps and clones for their characters seeing as Ermac, Noob Saibot, Rain, Smoke, Reptile, the cyborgs and many others existed originally as similar sprites all just dunked into different colours.

However of all of them Mileena is easily the most dangerous and interesting from a lore perspective. Created as a clone of Kitana by Shang Tsung, Mileena was kept as an ace in the hole for Shao Khan to always maintain his control over Outworld. He originally chose to raise Kitana the former kings daughter, as his own in order to keep the land in subjigation, but always feared that she would rise up and rebel against him, and so had Mileena made in order to replace her should things go wrong.

However there was an issue, for some reason the evil doers decided to make Mileena even more powerful than Kitana by fusing her essence with that of the toothy and tough Tarkatan race, giving Mileena that gob that she's so famous for.

However the only words you'll likely be uttering from yours are "ouch that's my goddam spine" as players using her wreck you again and again.
