10 Video Game Collector's Editions That Were Total Rip-Offs

2. Saints Row 4 - Wad Wad Edition

The Witcher 3
Deep Silver

Think $150 for a statue is a rip-off? Try $100,000.

The aptly named 'Wad Wad Edition' claims to have a million dollars worth of content, with some of the prizes being offered including a trip to space, a full size Dub-Step Gun replica and spy training.

Sounds good right? Certainly worth $100,000, and definitely not, say, $630,00?

Besides being an extravagant waste of money anyway, that was truly the big kicker for this collectors edition- you were basically throwing away $370,00 just for the sake of it. It's not like Saints Row 4 was a particularly outstanding game anyway, so why all this grandiose nature?

Deep Silver recently tried something like this again with Dying Light, but the 'My Apocalypse' edition was only £250,00 and wasn't nearly as much of a rip-off.

Obviously no-one ended up buying the 'Wad-Wad' edition of Saints Row 4, which does soften the blow a bit, but the idea that it was ever even considered for purchase really is just taking the mick.
