10 Video Game Deaths That Only Made The Characters Stronger
8. Dr. Shake - No More Heroes 2
Dr. Shake is one of the assassins from No More Heroes that Travis Touchdown needs to defeat in order to move up the ranking of the world's top killers.
Except Travis doesn't have to do anything because his opponent is killed for him.
Yes, the fight with Dr. Shake is actually played for jokes, as right before the mad inventor can show off the destructive power of his oversized earthquake maker, Travis' rival, Henry, swoops in out of nowhere and slices him in half.
This said, despite Dr. Shake's body learning division by two the lethal way, he does make an appearance in the sequel.
It turns out that after he dies, the assassins' organization gathered his remains and put them inside an even better seismic weapon. His new chassis was made bigger and upgraded so that it could create earthquakes faster, before any unsolicited assassin can intervene.
In No More Heroes 2, you finally get to see what fighting Dr. Shakez would've been like in the original game, and the giant brain jar is seriously nothing to scoff at. His seismic blasts can overwhelm the battlefield in mere seconds!
Huh, so villains can make devices without super long countdowns, after all.
