10 Video Game Endings That Made No Sense

6. Tokyo, Modern Day - Drakengard

Drakengard isn't a game you need to play, but you do need to hear about its ending, which - for all intents and purposes - is downright insane. The game, set in a fantasy world named Midgard, hinges on a fantasy hero named Caim and his quest to destroy a dragon that did him wrong. The whole game follows an otherwise generic story. That is, until the ending... The first sign that something isn't quite normal occurs when giant super babies hail from the sky, and Caim is forced to engage them in battle until he reaches the head honcho super baby (named "Mother"). It's important to mention here that these babies haven't been mentioned in the game beforehand, and they don't fit into the logic of the story in any way. But they pale in comparison to the next part of the ending, which sees Caim transported to modern day Tokyo (seriously) only to engage a monster in a rhythm game and ultimately end up being blown up by two fighter jets. There are actually five different endings to the game, but the Tokyo ending - for some reason - is considered to be the "definitive" ending.
