10 Video Game Enemies So Hard They Got DELETED
7. Eliza - Tekken 8
Eliza was introduced as a DLC fighter in Tekken 7 and quickly became a fan favourite character - a kick-ass vampire who had strong pick-up-and-play appeal for casual Tekken fans dipping their toe into the competitive multiplayer scene.
Some, meanwhile, declared her overpowered and excessively pandering to less-skilled players, ensuring they dreaded fighting her online.
There was, however, considerable fan outcry when Eliza was left out of the roster for Tekken 8, with fans kicking up enough of a fuss that series director-producer Katsuhiro Harada eventually chimed in on the matter.
Harada eventually revealed that, though Eliza was a personal favourite fighter of his, she was removed from Tekken 8 due to Bandai Namco staff struggling to balance her stats in Tekken 7. Harada said:
"Changing her stats even a little bit would make her too strong or too weak, so she was very difficult to tune, and she was also disliked by some tournament players, so she was a character that was hard to make worthwhile."
Basically, balancing Eliza was more trouble than it was worth, and Harada was fed up of getting it in the ear from the series' most vocal competitive players. Much as we miss Eliza, it's understandable.
