One of the most interesting and complex recurring antagonists from the Batman: Arkham series is the Joker's favourite fangirl, Harley Quinn. The series shows her transformation from hardworking psychiatrist to the insane baseball bat-wielding baddie everyone knows and loves to this day, but there's also a level of depth to this particular take on the character that most adaptations have glossed over in the past.

In Batman: Arkham City, players can discover a room containing some of Harley's old nurses uniforms, a cheaply constructed crib and a rendition of Harley singing 'Hush Little Baby' will play over the game's final end credits. What's more, returning to this room during the 'Harley's Revenge' DLC will greet players with the sight of a number of negative pregnancy kits.

The DLC focuses a great deal on the relationship between Harley and Batman without Joker being around, which has led to more than a few fan theories circulating over whether or not Quinn had been pregnant and who the father might have been.

One theory in particular speculates on whether or not Harley might have been pregnant during the standoff at the church, and whether Batman hitting her might have even triggered a miscarriage.

Heavy stuff, Bats.
