10 Video Game Features Devs Deleted Because Of YOU

1. Punishing Stealth (Star Wars Outlaws)

Baldur's Gate 3
Ubisoft

Stealth is a feature that can be tough to pull off, and, sadly, the original version of Star Wars Outlaws pulled it off about as well as C3-PO if he ever tried to pilot the Millennium Falcon.

While this open-world Star Wars title rightfully garnered praise from players upon its release, those players were nevertheless vocal about their hatred of the forced stealth elements. These mandatory sections included punishing fail states, which sent you back to the last checkpoint upon detection. This led to a frustrating loop of slow progression, which was especially painful for those looking to go all blasters blazing.

Thankfully, the cries of players were heard by Massive Entertainment, the developers, as they released a painstaking patch (as per Ubisoft) that removed this element, ridding the game of this fail state detection feature. Now, you could just start firing away at enemies if caught, which picked the game's pacing up dramatically.

You've got to respect a studio willing to make such a massive shift to please those who purchased their game. Hats off to you, Massive Entertainment.
