10 Video Game Fights Developers Didn’t Want You To Win

2. Lady Vashj - World Of Warcraft

World of Warcraft has been known to create bosses that you couldn't defeat every now and then. After all, creating enemies that work for several different types of raids, all with different combinations of class, stats and skill can easily make for many long nights of coding. And long, long nights of coding can easily make for a couple small mistakes here and there.

This is very much the case for Lady Vashj, a delightful snake woman who was the final boss of the Serpentshrine Cavern raid. The Naga had a few more bugs than most, including an especially painful one where, upon defeating her, she'd immediately respawn, killing your hopes and dreams then and there.

Vashj also had a fun issue where a mind control attack that was specifically supposed to avoid the tank who was taking the brunt of her damage could effect said tank, meaning your chances of wining would be immediately crushed.

As the other final boss fight was similarly bugged, fans have theorised since that Vashj's fight was purposefully broken, as beating her would provide you with armour a tier above what was currently available in the game.
