10 Video Game Fights You Didn't Know How To End
7. Hela - Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice
Hellblade: Senua's Sacrifice is a game that loves to toy with players, in the hope of putting them within the paranoid headspace of beleaguered protagonist Senua.
This includes lying to the player about a supposed permadeath mechanic early in the game, and serving up a final boss battle that seems totally insurmountable. And that's precisely because it is.
The climactic battle against Hela sees the Norse goddess throwing a fleet of the game's prior enemies at you once again, while Hela herself looks on and occasionally deploys attacks to interrupt your offense.
For first-time players, it might simply seem like an intensely challenging final showdown, and those skilled enough can actually hang in there for a lengthy amount of time.
But ultimately, the goal is to stop fighting and basically allow yourself to lose. A voice can admittedly be heard instructing Senua to let go, but you'd be forgiven for assuming that a game highly invested in tricking the player was pulling off yet another troll-job.
