10 Video Game Franchises Netflix NEEDS To Develop
7. Bioshock
For as long as the games have been around, a Bioshock film has been teased and considered by development companies but to no success.
Because the games have the aesthetic of steampunk twinned with power-granting elixirs, and are set either miles above or below the world's surface, we can safely say the concept might be too big to condense into a two-hour film.
So instead, why not a series that focuses on the world the games are set in? In the Bioshock games players are dropped into these fascinating environments and must discover the culture and history themselves as they navigate the story.
If the idea to turn the games into a TV miniseries was on the table, my suggestion is that the developers spend less time on the mind-bending mythology, and instead look at the actual physical worlds they have to play with. Once they come to grips with that, the stories would write themselves comfortably.
