10 Video Game Franchises Netflix NEEDS To Develop

With Amazon's Jack Ryan series a success, and a John Clark origin story Without Remorse (starring Michael B. Jordan) currently in development, Tom Clancy's world of counter-terrorism isn't losing momentum. Strangely enough, the one thread in the franchise that hasn't been adapted is the Rainbow Six series.

With there being demand for action spy/drama series like Strike Back and SEAL Team, it's peculiar that this format hasn't been applied to video game source material yet.

The multi-national operatives within the Rainbow Organisation would make for an interesting, fluid and diverse cast. And because Rainbow is a covert NATO-funded operation, the series has the opportunity to go all round the world and resolve an all manner of conflicts and incidents.

The games have used interesting narratives in the past such as the short-lived Las Vegas games or even Rainbow Six: Lockdown. But while many people couldn't name five recurring characters from the games (who appear in the book), it might be an opportune moment for a series developer to be creative with the source material?

An episodic, world-jumping cerebral drama about a NATO unit going after a big baddie would work wonders, and have thirsting for more seasons each time.

I overthink a lot of things. Will talk about pretty much anything for a great length of time. I'm obsessed with General Slocum from the 2002 Spider-Man film. I have questions that were never answered in that entire trilogy!
