10 Video Game Franchises Who Desperately Need A Win
9. WWE
WWE just can't find the right style of play to satisfy gamers adequately enough to get away with not changing too much each year.
The last game to introduce a truly worthwhile addition was SVR 2009 with the introduction of create-a-finisher and a decent upgrade in graphical quality. Since then the games have ranged from passable to yawn-worthy, as the gameplay grew more tired and the most exciting addition became ring objects now having advanced physics.
Gone are the ridiculous amounts of match-ups you can have and the creation suites have been neutered beyond belief in games once known for crazy amounts of content.
Each game got progressively slower and more boring, with a focus on realistic weight and lengthy detailed animations. It seems the developers forgot that fast-paced arcade action was what made earlier wrestling titles so loved.
It all came crashing to a halt with the dumpster fire that was WWE 2K20 which somehow featured worse visuals than the previous year, barely functioned due to bugs and was as much fun as dissecting water.
A franchise that has been letting out a slow death rattle over the years, it needs to go back to basics and make the focus of there next title in the series on making it actually fun for gamers to play.
