10 Video Game Hard Modes That Made Games EASIER

3. Hard Mode Turns Your Blaster Into A Superweapon - Star Wars: Shadows Of The Empire

Star Wars: Shadows of the Empire is a 1997 third-person shooter set in a galaxy far, far away. It features several difficulty settings, which scale from easy all the way to a special hard mode called Jedi.

The Jedi difficulty is the last mode you unlock in the game, and it’s supposed to offer the player a much more realistic experience, where you and your enemies become much more susceptible to damage.

Now, you might think that this would make the game harder, since enemies can kill you in just a couple of hits, but in reality, the balance of power is actually more in your favor than it is on lower difficulty settings!

While it is true that enemies in Jedi mode only need two hits to down your character, your blaster is also stronger, and the increased damage is quite significant, as you’re able to kill everything in just ONE shot.

Because of this, beating Shadows of The Empire on Jedi is much easier and much faster than doing the same on regular hard mode. You don’t have to worry about being a glass cannon, as you can tank a hit or two, while everything in your sight has no option but to die to the deadliest superweapon in the galaxy!
