10 Video Game “Heroes” You Really Shouldn’t Be Rooting For

Conker – the anthropomorphic squirrel – is a loud-mouthed alcoholic with a penchant for misbehaviour, who has a tendency to urinate in public. He’s a degenerate – armed with a shotgun, throwing knives and a vulgar mouth – with a simple goal: to escape and return to his buxom girlfriend before someone takes exception to his lascivious behaviour.

That said, this particular squirrel isn’t especially sympathetic, despite his humour and personality, nor is he altogether innocent. His situation is essentially a punishment for his own intoxicated misconduct, which gradually escalates with each subsequent transgression. Interestingly, there was a planned sequel in development in which the character would have redeemed himself – but, it never happened – begging an important question: what reason are we given for rooting for him in the first place?
