2. Talking Juvenile Scholars - Elden Ring

Are you a gamer who hates creepy enemies that give you the heebie-jeebies? If you answered yes, then you'd best avoid Elden Ring like the plague, as this FromSoft masterpiece is chock-full of them. One of the most twisted examples is the Juvenile Scholars, the malformed offspring of Queen Rennala, who she created through her power of rebirth.

You only encounter these tragic creatures in the Rennala's first phase as they sing nursery rhymes and sling books at you. However, as seen in cut dialogue assets (shown here), the Scholars actually used to talk. What did they say? Well, as the name suggests, these Juveniles spoke like children, babies even, wondering if you were there to play with them and assuming the whole fight was a game.

Look, these little creeps are unsettling no matter how you slice it, but hearing them talk like children would have made them fifty times creepier. Plus, it would have made you feel fifty times worse for killing them. Their song may have been grating, but it's better than what could have been.
