10 Video Game Movies We Actually Want To See
8. Fallout
The Fallout IP is a great visual concept. Whilst we have seen plenty of post-apocalyptic productions in film and TV this one has a unique feel to it. Soaking itself in cold war era nostalgia, this ravaged world is an amalgamation of destruction and style. With these lavish visuals, it would easily make for a fantastic story setting for a feature film.
As the games follow different protagonists without too much of an internal canon, there is a fresh opportunity to carve out a new story within the wastelands. This freedom to create a new narrative would mean that the producers and writers could make the product feel new and fresh to those who have played the game.
Video game adaptations often fail to recapture the magic of their titles. The aesthetic and feeling of this world are unique enough that any producers taking on the task would not have too much trouble in this regard.
With the charming Vault Boy and some humour juxtaposed to the severe destruction of the landscape, this would be a film that grabs peoples attention and feels true to the soruce material.
Additionally, it would be great to be able to see a version of fallout that does not contain any Bethesda glitches.
