10 Video Game Movies We Actually Want To See
2. Mass Effect
In regards to giant science fiction based franchises, we have a few options. The Star Wars series is a huge success, but with the later films there is a feeling of mundanity that is surprising for old fans.
The same could be said for the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Exploring space should never feel lacklustre or unoriginal. Thus audiences everywhere would massively appreciate the chance to have a new experience in the expanses of space.
Mass Effect is essentially a space opera that ultimately generates a colossal scale and potential for fun. The developed and established structure of the universe exists already and would easily translate onto the big screen. A compelling science fiction world, some sound visual effects and a well-crafted approach to the storyline would make this not only a hit but a potential franchise.
It could take a new direction and not follow the games storyline. However, the characters within the series would be great to see on screen. There are even perfect performers to take them on such as Matthew Fox for Commander Shepard, and Seth Green reprising his role as the Normandy's pilot Joker.
The potential with this is through the roof.
