1. The T-Virus - Resident Evil

How could you not do a list this specific and not mention one of the most legendary viruses to inject its way into gaming. Mutating and developing into more violent forms as the series progressed, Resident Evil is the epitome of a plague that would rip this world apart.

Originally intended to be a method of destruction as a virus with a 100% mortality rate, the t-virus later developed into the serum we see plaguing the festering zombies that roam the streets of Resident Evil’s Racoon City.

If the effects of this unrelenting virus that are displayed through each entry to this franchise are to be believed, then we are in for a rough ride. The world of Resident Evil is void of hope, life and living souls. Instead it’s a city rampant on chaos and mayhem from the zombie horde that lurks across its streets.

If this virus was to see the light of day in our world, you can only imagine the carnage that would befall us all. Especially with the large list of mutations that the series is known for - not a world I particularly would like to live in.

So let’s no create deadly, mutagenic viruses, eh?
