10 Video Game Pranks You Wish Were True
6. Eevee Coming To Tekken
Fighting games are the pinnacle of skill, requiring players to learn extremely long combos to best their opponents. They also allow for characters from different titles to feature as either DLC or part of a limited time event.
Back in 2018, fan-favourite Eevee from Pokémon was seemingly everywhere. At first, the beloved pocket monster was slated to appear in the New Japan Pro-Wrestling league. Shortly after, an announcement broke suggesting the creature would be coming to Tekken as DLC.
At first, this seems an odd choice - particularly when Eevee is a normal type and weak to fighting types - but at the same time, who wouldn't want to play as the Pokémon while battling against Jinpachi?
Unfortunately, this prank was far too easy to spot considering the announcement said the DLC would be arriving on 21 November 2100.
Maybe in 80 years we'll finally see the pocket monster arrive to Tekken. Until then, it's probably for the best - how would fighting as Eevee even work? How big would the character model be? Would players use moves like bite? None of it really makes sense, anyway.
