10 Video Game Products That Insulted Their Key Audience

7. Toilet Paper - No More Heroes

Toilet paper isn't known for its longevity, so it's unlikely that too many of these are left in the wild.

Despite its sparing release, it's curious that the product even existed to begin with, as No More Heroes has so much potential for far cooler merchandise. However, the toilet roll does fit thematically with the game, as protagonist Travis uses the restroom to save the game.

Not dissimilar to other entries on this list, the use of the product, while it surely functions as intended, is limited. Walking into a bathroom to do your business only to see the house owner has taken the liberty of using the bog roll bundled in with a Wii game is puzzling.

It's clear that the product is a novelty item and the creators didn't release it with the intention of being used immediately, yet it's almost insulting to assume that someone would be satisfied with the product.

It has enough comedic value to warrant a smirk but nothing more, but its novelty design means it's destined to live at the bottom of the toilet roll tower. A shame given the potential No More Heroes has to conjure cool ideas for merchandise.
