2. The Broken Puzzle – Destiny 2
Sometimes, you'll come across a puzzle in a game that's so preposterously difficult, you genuinely think it's unsolvable.
But in the case of Destiny 2, the developers actually created an impossible-to-solve cipher by accident! In the Season of the Forge expansion, the player must crack a seven-level code, which involves blasting symbols, each of which only becomes visible while using a specific weapon. If you shoot the wrong spot or use the wrong weapon, you'll get swarmed by enemies.
Wanting to provide a real challenge for hard-core players, Bungie kept the hints to a minimum. Although the developers didn't expect anyone to solve it straight away, they thought it was peculiar when they realised a grand total of ZERO people had completed this section.
Upon investigation, they discovered the issue - the hint for the last segment of the cipher... wasn't in the game! Because of this, nobody had a clue how to get past this room.
After learning of this blunder, Bungie uploaded a new hint online to complete the last section. After that, it only took 42 minutes for someone to solve it.
