10 Video Game Remasters That Blow Their Originals Out The Water
8. The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time 3D
Just a quick disclaimer, The Legend Of Zelda: Ocarina Of Time is one of the best games ever made - there'll never be enough positive stuff said about it. In saying that though, it's hard to deny that the Nintendo 3DS remaster is just as, if not even better than the original game. The 3DS version does everything just that little bit better than what the 64 did. There's the much appreciated graphical and visual update which makes the already beautiful game even more gorgeous to look at, and the option of having 3D is a nice bonus. However, it's the additional content and the fixing of a few prominent issues that make the Ocarina 3DS the superior version. There's the addition of the Master Quest feature where every dungeon is reshuffled and you essentially get double the amount of game to play, a new 'boss challenge' mode if you just want to fight the big bads one right after the other in a spectacular battle royale, and most importantly, the revamping of that infuriating Water Temple so that you're less prone to fits of rage and your heart pressure can remain at a healthy level. With a surprisingly brilliant track record of HD remakes, it actually wouldn't be a bad idea if Nintendo remade the remainder of the Zelda games, because let's face it, how awesome would a HD-remaster of the original Legend of Zelda or A Link to the Past be?
My life story is nothing special. I haven't cured ebola, I'm nowhere near stopping terrorism, and I'm still working on that climate change problem.
Instead, all I've done so far is put a few hundred words together in an attempt to make people laugh.
