10 Video Game Secrets That Will NEVER Be Revealed

8. Mass Effect 3 And The Closed Citadel Doors

For the most part, Mass Effect 3 is a fantastic video game and while it wasn't quite as memorable as its predecessor, it concluded the trilogy without leaving too much unanswered.

The Citadel is an integral section and serves as a major location throughout the narrative. It can be explored fairly in depth, but some areas remain elusive - much to fan's annoyance.

There are several rooms that appear accessible and even have prompts to open the passage through, but the way in is blocked by various objects. At a first glance, you would think at some point in the game access would become unrestricted, but this is far from the case.

At no point during the story can the player gaze at what lies beyond the blocked doors and this would have been fine, if the subsequent DLC allowed them entry. Unsurprisingly, the expansions likewise did not permit access.

This left players dumbfounded over the purpose of the blocked sections, particularly with the button prompts. It is common for rooms in buildings to be restricted but less so to suggest they are accessible.

Who knows what their purpose was? Could there have been cool weapons contained within them? Could there have been cut side missions take place in them? We'll never know.
