7. Persona 4 And The Blinking Eye
The individual games within the Persona series have heavy emphasis on interwoven narratives that conclude major plot points. As such, it is strange when something appears without explanation and is never resolved.
When the player successfully levels Yosuke, some versions of the title have a mysterious blinking eye appear over his Susano-o. Other players have reported that it crops up when maxing out any of the protagonist's friend's Social Links.
Persona 4's particular discourse is centred on discovering hidden truths and so originally, fans believed the blinking eye symbolised something - they just weren't sure what that something was.
There is still not a concrete answer, though the likeliest one emerged from an unknown source who claimed they worked closely or had some involvement in the development. They stated the blinking eye was no more than a bug.
But, given the source was anonymous, the veracity of the claim remains shrouded in mystery. Thus, fans are still bitterly annoyed because there is no official resolution regarding the eye.
