10 Video Game Sequels We're Still Crying Out For
8. Conker's Bad Fur Day 2
Brought back to our attention thanks to Xbox One's Rare Replay collection, Conker's Bad Fur Day is a cult classic with a sordid edge. Playing out as a puerile action-platformer, Conker's adventure took place in a world where the vulgar little beast was stranded after a particularly punishing night of drinking.
With hilarious enemies and a few grotesquely funny puzzle sequences, the game was Banjo-Kazooie for a generation of South Park-watching teens. What makes the story all the more interesting is that the foul-mouthed final version was a direct response to negative feedback over its original, passé family-friendly form.
The fact that a previously drafted sequel was canned is a shame, but it gets even worse when you hear how it would've played out. In 2008, Chris Seavor revealed that the sequel's opening would have featured Conker's unsuccessful reign as king. This would include him having spent treasured money on booze, prostitutes, and parties, ultimately leading to him having to escape prison.
Conker's own crimes pale in comparison to those of the people who robbed us of this experience.
