10 Video Game Sequels We’d Totally Get Stupidly Excited About

7. SoulCalibur

Spyro the Dragon
Namco

Will a SoulCalibur 6 happen? No one but Bandai Namco knows.

Tekken 7 is finally out on home consoles, so you could speculate that there is nothing else for them to be preoccupied with. But, the sales of SoulCalibur 5 were noticeably poor, and nothing about the series' 20th anniversary celebration suggested that a new game was in development.

Yet, in opposition to a SoulCalibur 6, there is the possibility of a reboot as hinted at by leaked concept art in 2016. An opportunity which would allow the franchise to start over and appeal to both die-hard fans and interested newcomers. Regardless of if it's a follow-up to SoulCalibur 5, a reboot of the franchise, or - dare we dream - a remake of SoulCalibur 2, everyone definitely craves a lot more than dreaded pachinko machines.

The announcement of a new SoulCalibur would have everyone grinning wickedly because of the desire to return to its universe and wield Soul Edge again.
