10 Video Game Things They KEEP GETTING WRONG

8. Pushing Games Out Without The Right Level Of Polish

Hands up who is absolutely terrified of buying games at launch now for fear of the state they're launching in?

We get it. Games are complex beasts. Hundreds, if not thousands of people work their arses off trying to push games out in time for release dates, and sometimes, they just don't get enough time.

That's the worst thing about the whole thing. You know the developers will have told their publisher that the game just isn't ready. But the corporate big wigs will just shrug that off, tell them to hit the release date with whatever they can do in the meantime, and fix it later.

You only have to look at a game such as Cyberpunk 2077 to fully understand how damaging this can be.

Cyberpunk was meant to be CD Projekt Red's amazing new IP. After years of hype, it launched in an absolutely terrible state. Almost unplayable on certain platforms and full of bugs, we are over a year after launch now and the game STILL isn't 100% fixed.

This is becoming more and more common in games too. Big names such as Assassin's Creed have launched completely broken too, and the whole mentality of 'fix it when it's out' is really getting quite tiresome.
