6. The Complete Knightfall Protocol - Batman: Arkham Knight (2015)

With his identity revealed to the world by Scarecrow, Arkham Knight's finale sees Bruce Wayne forced to activate the "Knightfall Protocol", a worst-case-scenario contingency plan to ensure both his and Alfred's safety in the approaching chaos.

If you've left the Most Wanted missions until after the main story, you'll have to do a good chunk of those before you even get to see the first half of this protocol. In it, Wayne Manor, surrounded by news reporters, explodes only seconds after Bruce arrives home in the Batwing.

To see the full thing, however, requires you to lock away every major criminal in Gotham - including the Riddler, which of course means working your way through all 243 of his challenges and trophies. It's a big undertaking, but return to the GCPD building once your work is done, and your efforts will be rewarded.

In an additional cutscene narrated by Jim Gordon, a wealthy couple resembling Bruce Wayne's parents are set upon by thugs in an alley, until they are stopped VERY dramatically by a terrifying shape that appears to be Batman.

There's a lot of ambiguity to this fascinating ending, but whatever you choose to believe it means, it's clear that the Knightfall Protocol is obviously way more complex than you originally thought.
