10 Video Game Villains Who Could Have Saved The World
8. Phenotrans - Dead Rising
If a zombie outbreak were to really happen, people would immediately turn to medicines and vaccines in an attempt to render themselves immune to the virus - that's simply human nature. Companies like Phenotrans from Dead Rising are vital, having developed an anti-zombification drug known as Zombrex, giving the infected a chance to keep living; it's nice to see a fictional company forgoing wealth to do what's right for the public. Well, actually, Phenotrans are responsible for starting at least two zombie outbreaks, effectively destroying Las Vegas and Fortune City. By intentionally infecting cities so they could reap the Queen Bees needed to create Zombrex, Phenotrans boost their sales dramatically and can easily harvest the resources needed to create the medicine - it's a win-win. Their desperation to generate as much money from the zombie apocalypse as possible is also shown in their attempts to block an actual cure for the virus. Isabela Keyes (survivor of the first zombie outbreak in Willamette) works for Phenotrans but is actively blocked from hunting down a cure. That means that Phenotrans have the staff and the technology needed to find a cure for the zombie outbreak and therefore, save the world. But, instead, they'd rather keep destroying cities with zombie infestations to boost their profit margins. Hey, it's just business.
I have an addiction to achievements, a craving for new bands and a dream to become Captain America. I once finished second in a Mario Kart 7 tournament so I'm kind of a big deal.
